Chassis & Build
- 6-wheeled rear-driven Ashok Leyland chassis
- Air suspension
- Seats 6
- Sleeps 4 adults + 2 kids
Call it a caravan, an RV, a motorhome, or a campervan — The Explorer is India's answer to all four. Built on a 6-wheeled Ashok Leyland chassis with air suspension, it seats 6, sleeps 4 adults and 2 kids, and carries its own power, water, kitchen, and bathroom wherever the road goes.
The Explorer is the only rental caravan in India with a fully functional toilet and shower. It runs off-grid for days on 1000W of solar panels, a 2500VA inverter, and a 4KVA silent genset, purifies its own drinking water with a built-in RO system, and carries 500 litres of fresh water. The only thing it ever needs from the outside world is a water top-up.
Co-founder Aman Verma films every inch of The Explorer — no stock footage, no showroom unit. This is the caravan you'll board.
Here's an open secret of Indian caravan rentals: most "toilets" you see in photos are dummies — fitted for the picture, never plumbed. The Explorer's bathroom works, every day of your trip: an indoor WC, a hot shower fed by a 15L electric geyser, a wash basin, and an outdoor shower for sandy feet after the dunes. Behind it sit a 500L fresh water tank, 150L grey tank, and 100L black tank — sized for real families on real two-week trips.
1000W of rooftop solar keeps the batteries fed all day. A 2500VA inverter runs the lights, fridge, TV, and chargers silently through the night. And when you want both air conditioners at full blast in a Rajasthan summer, the 4KVA silent genset takes over. Three layers of power. Zero campsite hookups needed — useful, since India has almost none.
A proper cooktop, a 120L fridge with freezer, a microwave, a full utensil set — and the detail international guests love most: a built-in RO water purifier. Fill the tank anywhere in India and drink straight from the tap. Street food when you want the adventure; your own kitchen when you don't.
Convertible sleeping for four adults and two children, seatbelted travel seating for six, LED TV with Amazon Firestick, and JBL speakers for the driving playlist. Air suspension on the Leyland chassis smooths out roads that would rattle a smaller campervan apart.
Every booking includes the full outdoor kit: rooftop seating deck for 4 (sunset chai above the treeline), BBQ grill, bonfire pit, camping chairs, and an outdoor recliner. Your driver and helper set it up while you pour the drinks.
